  • Every framework can be viewed as an attempt to say “the hardest part of writing a webapp is {X}, so ‘s some code to make that easier”.
  • Knockout.js is basically what you get when a dev says “the hardest part of writing a webapp is implementing two-way data binding”, which you can tell because that’s basically 90% of what the framework does.
  • I have some experience with Angular, and I think they said “the hardest part of writing a webapp is data-binding, decouped modular architecture that supports unit testing, and having to do XHR with callbacks”.
